Concept
VD series is a sanitary diaphragm valve, specially designedfor industries such as food, beverage, dairy, brewing,pharmacy, etc. lt is excellent for flow control as well as foropen/close duties.
Working Medium
Corrosive, inert, gaseous and liquid media which have nonegative impact on the physical and chemical properties ofthe body and diaphragm material.
Working Principle
The valve can be operated either pneumatically or manually.For manual operation, a simple turn of the handle will pushthe compressor downwards on the diaphragm, pressing thediaphragm against the weir of the valve body therebyclosing the valve.For pneumatic operation, the actuatorcontrols the axial movement of a piston, thereby openingor closing the valve depending on the actuator function.

Valve Bodies
INVESTMENT CASTING BODY
The investment cast bodies are produced in a pattern filled with waxcontaining the shape of the final valve body. By dipping the waxformed body in a ceramic material, the complete wax valve body iscovered with ceramic. After melting the interior wax body, theceramic shell is filled with molten stainless steel. The surroundingceramic coating is removed and a very high dimensional accuracyand a clean and smooth surface results.
FORGED BODIES
The forged body begins from a solid piece of stainless steel ingot. Inthe forging process the shape of the material is changed throughpressure between forging tools at elevated temperatures. Throughthe forging procedure a high density and homo-geneous structureof the material is obtained. This reduces the possibility of porosityor that any inclusions can emerge. After that, the forged body ismechanically machined according to the specification.
BLOCK BODIES
When producing bodies made of solid wrought block or bar stockmaterial you obtain equal features to that of forgings. The individualraw valve bodies are cut from the block or bar stock and then aremechanically machined according to the specification.
